Lavender Hue tea rooms, cafe and lavender shop overlook cottage gardens and the sparkling waters of the Ovens River. They’re the perfect place to stop and relax with a cuppa as you pass through Harrietville, perhaps on your way to or from the mountains, as a refuelling stop after a long bushwalk, or simply as a day visit from Bright or another High Country town.
We regret that Lavender Hue tea rooms are not open until further notice.
We are adapting the space to welcome visitors back safely and expect to reopen soon.
On warm summer days the shallow river with its smooth pebbles offers the opportunity of a refreshing, shady paddle with the kids, while in early spring the river levels rise due to snowmelt, providing faster flow and that calming sound of flowing water as you tuck into your home-made scones and jam.
Our oven-fresh scones and biscuits, fine espresso coffee and a good selection of teas and home-made cakes are all served by your hosts Rona and Bill in the charming, hand-built timber and mudbrick building, or under the covered verandah. In summer, don’t miss the opportunity to try our rich lavender ice-cream, made fresh with lavender from our farm!
We regret that we don’t allow pets on the property.
Lavender farm shop
Part of the tea rooms space is devoted to our Lavender Farm Shop, where you’ll find an interesting selection of quality skin care and lavender-based products, many made in-house by us.
Other handmade, fair trade and Australian made products for children and adults alike are also on display and for sale.
Your hosts Rona and Bill
While you’re enjoying your coffee take time to browse the photo albums and displays and see the story of the farm. You’ll leave with a warm heart and great respect for the passion and commitment required to take bare paddocks and create a destination like the one you see today.
